Chester County Food Drive
In November 2025, Shakthi PA Chapter partnered with the Chester County Food Bank to organize a community-wide Food Donation Drive in response to the temporary pause in November food stamp benefits. The effort saw tremendous support, with generous contributions pouring in from residents across Exton, Downingtown, and surrounding neighborhoods.
Thanks to this collaboration, essential food supplies were delivered to families in need through the Chester County Food Bank’s network of 100+ community distribution partners. We are grateful to everyone who stepped forward to make a meaningful difference during a challenging time.
Immigration Q &A
In November 2025, the Shakthi PA Chapter, in partnership with ATEA, hosted an informative Immigration Q&A session featuring Attorney Kavitha Ramasami. The event provided valuable insights and guidance, addressing a wide range of questions from the community. Attendees found the session highly informative and deeply appreciated the clarity and expertise shared by Attorney Ramasami.
Resume Writing Workshop
In April 2025, the Shakthi PA Chapter hosted a comprehensive Resume Writing and Review Workshop designed to support jobseekers and professionals exploring new opportunities. The event connected attendees with experienced mentors from the Technology, Education, and Healthcare sectors, offering personalized feedback, guidance on addressing skill gaps, and insights on strengthening their resumes for today’s job market.
The workshop was very well received, with participants appreciating the practical advice and one-on-one support. The session also featured an inspiring address by Sangeetha Kanvar, Vice President at GSK, whose words motivated attendees to approach their career journeys with confidence and clarity.
Tax Highlights and Changes
Rosalee Katakam (https://www.iminds.net), one of our Shakthi Team Leader along with Mr. Sachi Padhi (CEO, Zero Power Financial Group – https://www.zeropowerfin.com) delivered a great seminar on the Tax Highlights and changes in 2025. Right on time before the tax season, the talk was very well received. In addition to the Tax Highlights and Changes, the participants also learnt about good investment options for a better retirement.
Career Guidance Workshop
Shakthi PA chapter welcomed all wonderful women for their Online live event on Career Guidance. Great sessions by wonderful established mentors on IT and NON-IT Careers. This was for all beginners and existing professionals to enhance their careers. Abi Mahendran and Priya Ashok from the events team lead the event to a success!. It was very interactive session with over 200 participation
College Admission Workshop
Another fantastic event was organized by Shakthi Corporation PA Chapter on College Preparedness during the month of May 2024. Marking the first anniversary of the PA Chapter, we celebrated through dance, music, games, henna, and shopping. We not only grow, but we help others grow as well, that being said, Manya Gupta and Unnati Gupta from Harvard University presented thoroughly on college prep and answered questions with so much knowledge.
Mind and Body Connect
Shakthi Corporation PA Chapter conducted Mind and Body Workshop that focussed on one’s emotional well being and mind body connection. This session had many activities including workshop on Mental Health, Yoga, Bingo Couple Games and CPR Training. It was held on September 30th at Lionville YMCA’s community hall. We thank Padma Badri for leading this event.
Will and Trust Seminar
Shakthi Corporation, PA hosted an event on Will and Trust and Legal issues on Employment on Feb 10th, 10.30 am at Manam Bistro, Thorndale, PA 19335..
One of the top attorneys in our area, Mr. Sweeney presented on Will and Trust with Q&A Session at the end. We also spiced up the event with couple celebrations filled with Fun games **Manam Bistro and New York Life Insurance were our sponsors. Subha Prem and Priya Ashok from leadership group lead the event.
Garba Fun!
October is the month of celebration of many festivals. Women are celebrated during this month.Shakthi corporation conducted a Garba Dance event for the community. This event was sponsored by our local Lionville YMCA. Many women participated and danced their heart out learning some fun steps through a Garba Instructor. This event was geared towards a healthy body – healthy mind. Rosalee Katakkam, Anu Raj and Deepa Suresh from the leadership committee lead the event to a success.
Buddies and Butterflies – Diwali Event
Shakthi corporation PA chapter was invited for Diwali Celebration by Buddies and Butterflies group in West Chester area. Hema Alace, Rosalee Katakkam, Priscilla Raj and Akila Ilayaraja represented Shakthi. Hema Alace presented some of the community events and services rendered by Shakthi during the program. The team was also honored for their community service during the event.
TAGDV Event
Shakthi Corporation PA Chapter set up a display at TAGDV’s New Year’s event to showcase our services offered to women in the area. Some of the committee members performed a cultural dance during the event to create awareness and spread the word on the women empowerment.

Hema Alace, President, Shakthi Corportaion PA Chapter announced that we will kickoff Shakthi Corporation – Philadelphia, 501c non profit women’s organization on May 20th, 2023. Shakthi meaning power! Women empowering women!!!
